常見的連音可分類為四種
Case I 前子加後母
Case II 前子加後子
Case III 前母加後母
Case VI T,D,S,Z 加 Y
學會了這些基本的規則以後,就可以從日常生活中找例子來印證
筆者把自己再 練英文歌學英文 中發現的例子列出,以供參考

Case I 前子加後母 (子音 + 母音)
常見的字有 up, on, a, off, it, out, of
1.如果前面是有聲子音,把前面的子音和後面的母音結合 ( "-" 的符號代表音的連結 )
give up = giv - up
turn off = turn-off
take it easy = tak-it-easy
take it all = tak-it all (Grenade)
Should of known = Shoud-of known (Grenade)
tossed it in the trash = toss d-it in the trash (Grenade)
There is not a thing = There is not-a thing (Just the way you are)
if you don't wanna END UP dead = if you don't wanna end-up dead. (Ronnie and Clyde)
底下的幾的例子當碰到代名詞 her, him, them 的時候,先把h或th的音省略,再做連結
Tell her I miss her = tell-er I miss-er
kiss her = kiss-er
I tell her everyday = I tell-er everyday (Just the way you are)
Tell him the truth = tell-im the truth.
Tell them Shy Ronnie = tell-em Shy Ronnie (Ronnie and Clyde)
2. 如果前面的是無聲子音,先把無聲子音換成相對應的有聲子音,再做連結.
wake up = wa(g)-up
take out = ta(g)-out 會把 無聲的k 發成 有聲g
get out = ge(d)-out 會把 無聲的t 發成 有聲d
stick up = sti(g)-up
lit up = li(d)-up
Case II 前子加後子 (子音 + 子音)
"()" 代表把括號內的子音輕音化,有時輕到只有嘴型沒有聲音
1.前後子音相同時,省略一個去把前後連結起來
I was so happy = I waso happy
I have got to go = I have gotta go.
Do you want to dance? = I wanna to dance?
-I just wanna lay in my bed (The lazy song)
going to = gonna
-I ain't gonna comb my hair (The lazy song)
2.子音 t,d,p, b,k,g,f,v 要輕音化
basketball = baske(t) ball
sit down = si(t) down
credit card = credi(t) card
hot dog = ho(t)dog
Case III 前母加後母 (母音 + 母音)
1.中間加了一個 中文音標的 "一" (衣)
He-is a student
Turn the TV on = Turn the TV yon
We at it again = We yat it again (Ronnie and Clyde)
2.中間加了一個 中文音標的 "ㄨ" (屋)
Do I ? = Do wai ?
You're so (屋) honest = You're so wa-nest
Do you eat meat?
What time do you go out.
Case IV (T, D, S, or Z) + Y
1. T+Y
常常出現又是"T" 結尾的字有 noT, whaT, aT, thaT, buT
can'T You do it?
I will leT You know.
is thaT Your car?
take, take, take it all buT You never give (Grenade)
whaT You don't understand (Grenade)
If perfect is whaT You're searching for then just stay the same (Just the way you are)
aT Your funeral your mama gon cry (Ronnie and Clyde)
2. D + Y
常常出現又是"D" 結尾的字有 remind, guide, send
Did you love me?
Could you tell me?
Had your eyes wide open (Grenade)
You said you love me (Grenade)
3. S + Y
常常出現又是"S" 結尾的字有 Guess
god blesS You.
can you dreSS Yourself
I miSS You
but sorry pops you're just have to wait (The Lazy Song)
uSE Your outside voice (Ronnie and Clyde)
why iS Your gun so small? (Ronnie and Clyde)
thiS Year is almost over.
4. Z + Y
How was your vacation?
